QC 76ers Semi-Pro Baseball Club 2014 QC 76ers Welcome to the online home of the Quad City 76ers. Founded in 1976 by Jay Mercer. The 76ers are a semi pro/summer collegiate wood bat team made up of the best local & regional talent. Pictured above is the 2014 76ers. They finished the 2014 campaign with a fine (37-9) record and were Black Hawk Valley Conference champions.  This conference title was the 76ers 24th in the last 25 years.


The 76ers swept the Muscatine Flames Sunday to win the Black Hawk Valley Conference for the 25th time in the last 26 years. They took game one 3-0 behind the arm of Brian King (4-0). Trey Hannam had two RBI’s in the game. Game two saw the 76ers use a three run sixth inning outburst to erase a 6-5 Muscatine lead to clinch the title with a 8-6 win. Matt Ullrich (2-0) earned the win in relief. The 76ers (24-4-1) got three RBI’s from Tyson Blaser in the nightcap. Cooper Santamour saved both ends of the DH to tie the single season saves record with his 10th save. The 76ers take on these same Muscatine Flames Tuesday night at Augustana. First pitch 7:00.


The 76ers split a DH with the Elgin Aces yesterday at Augustana. They drilled 13 hits to win the opener 13-1. Shawn Simmons (2-0) earned the win. The Aces returned the favor in the nightcap, winning 3-1. The 76ers (22-4-1) try and clinch the Black Hawk Valley Conference today. They take on the Muscatine Flames for a 1:00 DH at Stone Field at Richmond Hill Park in Geneseo.
