Welcome to the online home of the Quad City 76ers. Founded in 1976 by Jay Mercer. The 76ers are a semi pro/summer collegiate wood bat team made up of the best local & regional talent. The 76ers open up tourney play this Saturday in Walford, Iowa in the IABA State Tourney. The Sixers (23-8-1), take on the Norway Bandits at 2:00. Win a win the 76ers will play again at 6:00. The 76ers Alums piled on runs in the middle innings to knock off the 76ers 9-7 in the annual QC 76ers Alumni Game in front of a nice crowd at Douglas Park. Jared Mcintosh got the win and Dalton Love picked up the save for the Alums. Almuni offense was supplied by Matt Albert, who had two ringing doubles and a single, Timmy Wages, who had two singles, and two RBI’s, Chad Mirr, who had two hits and two RBI’s. Jake Viaene homered and knocked in two, and Mcintosh helped himself on the mound with a double and RBI of his own. The Alums win made the all time series 9-2 in favor of the 76ers. The 76ers are now (22-8-1) on the season and after a weekend off, face the Palmer Dragons Tuesday at Douglas park. First pitch 7:00.
